Shingle Shovel

In stock

An original AJC design and made in the USA, this Super Shing-Go Shingle Removing Shovel has a replaceable, 9-inch, serrated, chromoly steel blade that is tempered for long life. 15 nail-notches bulldoze through roofing material tacked down with nearly-flush roofing nails, and the angle provides maximum prying action. The body has extra brace reinforcement and includes a carbon steel heat treated skid plate to reduce wear on the fulcrum of the shovel. The 47-1/2" top-grade fiberglass handle is capped with a D-Grip for extra heavy-duty service.

FYI:

Chromoly is an abbreviation for "chromium-molybdenum steel." Chromoly (Or, Chrome Moly) is a range of low alloy steels used, for example, to produce tubing for bicycle frames and race-car roll cages. It is not as lightweight as aluminum alloys, but has the advantages of high tensile strength and malleability (it’s flexible).

Not recommended for raking leaves, combing hair, or back scratching.
